Whitney Baldwin Powell is a native of West Palm Beach. She is the wife of State Senator Bobby Powell and the mother of their beautiful daughter, Chandler. Presently, she is an attorney at Cole, Scott, & Kissane, P.A. She attended Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (“FAMU”) where she earned a Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Public Administration. She continued her education at the FAMU College of Law and graduated in 2013 in the top half of her class. While in law school, she was awarded the distinguished Percy R. Luney Spirit of Service Award, given to a law student who excels in service to both the community and the FAMU College of Law. Currently, she is the President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Xi Pi Omega Chapter, a Board Member of the YWCA of Palm Beach County, the Holland Luncheon Committee Chair for F. Malcolm Cunningham Bar Association, and a member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association. She is also an active member of Gray’s Temple CME Church. In May, she was named one of South Florida’s Most Influential & Powerful Black Professionals of 2020 by Legacy Magazine
