President Elect

Lynn Solomon Esq. A practicing attorney with over twenty years of experience, Ms. Lynn Solomon possesses a blend of legal and financial skills in public finance, real estate development, construction and permanent financing and economic and community development lending.  A graduate of the University of Florida School of Law (Class of 1986), Ms. Solomon has been recognized and certified by the Florida Bar as an expert in real estate law since 1998.  Her areas of practice include complex commercial real estate transactions, commercial leases, foreclosures and commercial and residential closings for financial institutions and governmental entities. She has completed over 200 foreclosures and has served as the closing attorney in the disposition of over 300 parcels on behalf of the Resolution Trust Corporation. Currently, she represents the Miami Dade County Industrial Development Authority as co-bond counsel in public finance transaction and serves as general counsel for the Business Loan Fund of the Palm Beaches, Inc., a federally certified CDFI,  and Paragon Foundation of Palm Beach County, Inc.  As part of her duties with the Loan Fund and the Foundation, she handles closings for its business loan transactions.  As counsel for the Jessie Trice Community Health Center, she handles all of its real estate matters including services related to construction of its new 20,000 square foot office facility.  As special counsel for the Village of Pinecrest, she represented the Village in its acquisition of the historical AParrot Jungle@ site in Miami, Florida and in general provides written and verbal opinions on a number of real estate matters for the Village.  Recently, she assisted the City of Riviera Beach in the sale of the AMarsh Harbour@ site. She has also represented the Florida Department of Transportation on the development of the Miami Intermodal Center (MIC) near the Miami airport. She was retained to render a Master Opinion of Title for the entire MIC site which included more than 86 separate parcels.  Ms. Solomon=s expertise in real estate law combined with her skills and experience in construction financing, federal and state subsidy programs and municipal finance will contribute to the success of an economic or real estate development project.  She has the experience and skills to serve as a legal advisor or consultant for developers, public agencies, financial institutions, non-profits and community development organizations.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Ms. Solomon is an active participant in her community and serves on the board of directors of a number of community and professional organizations.  Ms. Solomon is a graduate of the class of 2004 of Palm Beach County Leadership and is a Past Chair of the Equal Opportunities in the Profession Committee of the Florida Bar and the Judicial Nominating Commission for  the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit.  She is also a Past President of the Florida Chapter of the National Bar Association.  She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Abacoa Partnership For Community, Inc., Opportunity Early Childhood Learning Center and is a member of the City of West Palm Beach Downtown Action Committee. Recently, she was appointed to the Small Business Advisory Council for Palm Beach County.
