This CLE program is intended for appellate and trial attorneys alike. This program will provide an overview of the appellate process as well as tips for effective appellate advocacy. The panelists will discuss the rules of appellate procedure, including recent and proposed changes; effective brief writing, including the initial brief, the answer brief and the reply brief; the anatomy of the brief; effective oral arguments; professionalism and ethics on appeal; the decision-making process; and motions for rehearing. If your practice includes appeals, or you think you may have to handle an appeal at some point during your career, this is a must attend CLE program.
